This week is ending with a tally of 111 mi (179 km), 8,751 feet (2′667 m) of ascent. Quit decent considering that I did not ride on Saturday. I’d like to hold the delicious Mojito from the Songbird nestwarming party the night before partly responsible for the sudden laziness that descended upon me that day. I made up for it with a 56 mile ride on Sunday, up Page Mill road and rode Skyline all the way to 92. Along the way, I mingled with some participants of the Tour de Max.
On the ride up Page Mill, I spotted my first live Tarantula. Apparently they are quit common in the FootHills Park in Palo Alto. Learn more about those harmless critters.
